It is another hot day and I am just catching up to many, many photos that I had not downloaded.
Here are a few of them:
First of all, honor to the Queen Turquoise who is almost 8 years old.
And of course to her half brother, Mr Sage:
These photos were taken in France, in April. It was in Champagne, where my mother lives, during one of our walks in the nature. He met animals he had never met before and not sure who was the most intrigued, him or them.
Then we headed for the South West and the South East too.
We visited my dearest friend and more walks in a very different nature before going to one of the "preselection" days in Aix en Provence. One word on this event. Part of it is the physical exam with the associated report. We got excellent. Then the temperament test. Sage took and passed the temperament test. Not that I am surprised as I trully beleive he is superb in all aspects, including temperament. He is a dog who can go any place and do anything without hesitation or questions on his part. He just has that level of stability, be it in a busy, noisy airport, in the streets of NYC, at a show or just in the countryside.
But I totally dislike that test. It is really not testing temperament anymore but ability of people to train their dogs. Since it is a requirement for title, it is treated like any competition. I also disagree with the desire that the dog attacts the stick. I think it is wrong and totally inadapted to 21st century urban living. Sage did great without training though and the few points he lost where on the stick exercise where he looked, stood there and then lost interest and looked at something else. He did not go and bark or attack the stick. Certainly better in my book than the dog at another similar test who injured the guy holding the stick when he jumped on him and bit him in the arm. Guess what, he was a dog doing schutzhund. So if he sees an elderly with a cane loosing some balance and doing gesture, the old man is dead. Is this really appropriate.
Will stop here to not spend more hours in front of the PC !
